Shizuo's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Trollhammaren. The crowd seem to be enjoying Diaz's choice of entrance music: Look At Me Now. Nick Diaz has the better chin. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Heiwajima Shizuo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nick Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz connects with a looping right hand.

Shizuo gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Shizuo misses with a knee strike.

Shizuo breaks from the clinch.
Shizuo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Shizuo moves into the clinch.
Diaz tries to pull guard but Shizuo holds him up against the cage and eventually Diaz drops back down to his feet.
Diaz tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Shizuo manages to break the clinch.
Shizuo tries to bum rush Diaz with a series of wild strikes but Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nice straight punches there by Diaz. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Diaz.
Diaz throws a leg kick

and Shizuo moves into the clinch.
Diaz jumps guard but Shizuo turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Heiwajima Shizuo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Diaz.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Diaz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Shizuo just stands there and leans against the cage.

Shizuo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Shizuo misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Diaz to counter with a crisp jab.
Diaz lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Shizuo is rocked!
Shizuo shoots in but no luck this time.
Oh Shizuo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Diaz connects with a stiff jab that staggers Shizuo - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
