The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn misses with a jab, cross combination.
Penn stalks Henderson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Henderson's face. Henderson staggers backwards, shaken.
Henderson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Henderson takes one on the button.
Henderson shoots in for a takedown but Penn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Danga de danga de dang - Penn scores with a four punch combination!
Henderson dives in and grabs Penn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Penn pushes down on Henderson's head and hops out.
BJ Penn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benson Henderson.
Penn misses with a series of wild punches.
No joy there for Penn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Penn looks to score with a jab to the body but Henderson is just out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Penn. Those never looked like landing.
Penn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Henderson manages to avoid it.

Penn misses with a few strikes there.
A jab from Penn misses.
Penn misses with a straight right.
Penn throws a right and a left that Henderson avoids nicely.
Henderson shoots in and drives through. Penn sprawls well.

Henderson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Penn is looking to improve his position but Henderson isn't that keen on the idea.

Henderson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Penn manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Henderson has an Americana. Penn didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Henderson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Henderson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
