The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bernard has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Garcia finds it's way round the side to connect with Bernard 's head.

It looks like Diokles Bernard has been cut.
Bernard looks to land a right hand but Garcia moved out of range.
Nice body punch from Garcia.
Garcia throws out a loose jab but Bernard uses good head movement to avoid it.

Garcia throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bernard on the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Garcia has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bernard .

Bernard is working Garcia over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Bernard makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Garcia wants to hit a switch here but Bernard passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Garcia there!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

You get the feeling that Garcia really doesn't like being in this position too much.
