Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Natura Barbecue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joao Davi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joao Davi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joao Davi!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbecue fails to land with a series of punches.
Barbecue looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Barbecue clinches.
Barbecue is looking to break free of the clinch but Davi has double underhooks.
Barbecue breaks the clinch.
Barbecue throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Barbecue shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Davi as he jumps to the side.
Barbecue tries to land a front kick but Davi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Davi shoots and misses
so Barbecue counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Barbecue postures up.
Davi pulls Barbecue in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barbecue won't allow Davi to sweep him here.
Davi looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Davi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Barbecue is one step ahead there.

Davi manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Barbecue has his takedown stuffed
and Davi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Barbecue won't be happy with that.
Davi prevents Barbecue from escaping the position.
Barbecue is not content to let Davi control the position.
Barbecue really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Davi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Barbecue knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Barbecue is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Davi has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Davi tries to move to mount but Barbecue blocks the move with his legs.

Davi content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Barbecue gets back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barbecue is looking to improve his position.
Barbecue is controlling Davi's trapped leg to prevent Davi from advancing to side control.

Barbecue tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Barbecue is trying to stand back up but Davi is controlling him
Barbecue keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Barbecue is staying active underneath Davi, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Barbecue moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Davi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Barbecue can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Davi controls the pace.

Barbecue manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Barbecue moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Davi has worked his arm free - good work by Davi!
Davi is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Barbecue off and has taken his back!
Barbecue looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Davi has the hooks in. Barbecue is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Barbecue prevents Davi from getting a body triangle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Natura Barbecue will probably get the nod.
That's time! Barbecue's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Barbecue closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Barbecue just misses with a elbow thrown towards Davi's brow.
Barbecue breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Barbecue gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Barbecue looking for a sweep. Not yet Barbecue, not yet.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Barbecue holds on and takes a little breather.
Davi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Barbecue has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Davi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Davi slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Davi slows the pace down.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

You can see the frustration on Barbecue's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Barbecue gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Davi is looking to take a break and control but Barbecue is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Barbecue has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Davi is working away from the top position though.
Barbecue moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Barbecue has control of Davi's left arm, preventing Davi from doing any damage.
Barbecue not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Davi wants to control from the top but Barbecue keeps moving.

Barbecue has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Davi doesn't defend quickly enough and Barbecue has managed to lock this one up! Can Davi escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Barbecue on a fantastic submission victory.
