Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jamsha Gonzales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John McSorley!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales throws a right hand that McSorley ducks under and follows up with a left that McSorley also avoids with ease.
McSorley throws a right and a left that Gonzales avoids nicely.
McSorley is looking to clinch.
McSorley closes the distance and clinches up with Gonzales, looking for a takedown. McSorley pushes Gonzales against the cage but Gonzales circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A nice combination there by Gonzales.
McSorley falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gonzales counters with a three punch combo that has McSorley backing up. McSorley nods at Gonzales to acknowledge the strikes.
Gonzales tries to score a power double leg takedown but McSorley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gonzales somewhat.

John McSorley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gonzales shoots in but no luck this time.
McSorley swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gonzales counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

McSorley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

McSorley wants to hold on but Gonzales pushes him away.

Gonzales swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and McSorley is now in Gonzales's guard. A big mistake from Gonzales there, giving up the dominant position!
McSorley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Gonzales really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

McSorley got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gonzales has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McSorley has managed to get both his arms back between Gonzales's legs - danger averted.
Gonzales can't keep his opponent in guard - McSorley advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

McSorley is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gonzales sees it coming and defends easily.
McSorley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gonzales. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gonzales is looking for a sweep. McSorley is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Gonzales regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from McSorley.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McSorley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gonzales connects with a good right hand that stumbles McSorley. McSorley circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Gonzales shoots in looking for a takedown but McSorley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gonzales's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
McSorley stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McSorley wants it to stay on the feet.
Gonzales lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McSorley circles away quickly and effectively.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McSorley is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Gonzales pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Gonzales will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
McSorley tries to kick Gonzales off but Gonzales keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Jamsha Gonzales overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gonzales is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
McSorley is trying to control but can't.
McSorley might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gonzales kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Gonzales is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gonzales is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McSorley defends it well.

Gonzales is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gonzales is cranking McSorley's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for McSorley! He's tightened the choke and McSorley is tapping out!
