PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frank Lyotard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Sheldon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyotard keeps the fight on the outside.
Lyotard moves forwards but Sheldon connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Lyotard slips a straight right by Sheldon.
Sheldon throws a sloppy head kick and Lyotard moves out of range easily.
Sheldon avoids a punch combination nicely.

Sheldon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lyotard wants to control but Sheldon is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Sheldon decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lyotard to his feet.

and Lyotard counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sheldon is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lyotard defends well.
