Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Baru Damdin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yosihiro Uraken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damdin throws a left and a right that both miss

and Uraken counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Uraken .
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Damdin is adopting a defensive guard.
Uraken is looking to stand up but Damdin won't let him.
Damdin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Uraken is looking to escape.
It looks like Damdin is going to stand back up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Uraken pushes Damdin off but Damdin dives into side control.

Damdin throws a combination that misses

and Uraken counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Uraken tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Damdin wants to improve his position but Uraken is controlling well.

Uraken gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Uraken avoids the body shot from Damdin.
Damdin looks to land a combination but Uraken avoids it well.
Uraken misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Damdin takes the fight into the clinch.

Uraken drags the fight down to the ground.

Uraken uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Uraken shoots in but Damdin avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Uraken looks for a takedown but Damdin sprawls well.
Baru Damdin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yosihiro Uraken .
Damdin throws a series of punches but Uraken moves out of range.

Damdin feints and as Uraken raises his hands in defense, Damdin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Damdin gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Damdin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Uraken has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Uraken and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Damdin shoots in and gets a takedown into Uraken 's guard.
Uraken wants to get back to his feet but Damdin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Damdin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Damdin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Uraken , up you get!
Damdin misses with a straight right.
Uraken tries for a takedown but Damdin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Damdin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Uraken gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Damdin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Uraken has one foot on Damdin's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Baru Damdin will probably get the nod.

Uraken wants to stand but Damdin is controlling the position.

Horrible takedown by Uraken or perhaps it was just good defense by Damdin which made him look bad.

Nice takedown defense from Damdin. No joy for Uraken on that attempt.
Damdin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Damdin wants to stand and escape but instead Uraken has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Uraken stands up from Damdin's guard - Uraken perhaps looking for a knockout.
Damdin tries to land a front kick but Uraken steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Uraken manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Uraken avoids a punch combination nicely.

Damdin tries to get to his feet but Uraken is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Damdin in his guard.

and Uraken counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Damdin's guard now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Damdin is working an open guard so Uraken takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Damdin throws a body punch but Uraken moves out of range.
Damdin looks to land a body kick but Uraken moved away.

Damdin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Uraken napping and manages to drive through into side control!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Damdin stands up.

Damdin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Uraken on his heels. He'll look to pass Uraken 's guard now, I'm sure.

That's time! Damdin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

No joy there for Damdin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Damdin throws a series of punches but Uraken moves out of range.

Damdin throws a strike aimed at the side of Uraken 's head but Uraken avoids it well.

Damdin decides to stand back up. Damdin steps back and let's Uraken get back to his feet.

Damdin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Damdin tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Uraken explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Damdin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Damdin gets caught flat footed, as Uraken shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Uraken stands up and waves to Damdin to follow him.

Uraken is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Damdin stands and steps away. Uraken gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Damdin throws a series of punches but Uraken avoids them all with ease.
Uraken shoots in for a takedown but Damdin shows good takedown defense.

Uraken is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Baru Damdin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Uraken bucks Damdin off and manages to get back to his feet!

Damdin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Uraken kicks Damdin off and gets back to his feet.

Damdin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Uraken looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Uraken wants to get back to his feet but Damdin drags him back down.

Damdin decides to stand back up. Damdin steps back and let's Uraken get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Uraken avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Damdin leaves Uraken with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Baru Damdin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yosihiro Uraken .

and Uraken counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Damdin!

Uraken is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Damdin has hold of one of Uraken 's legs. Uraken is fighting the takedown attempt but Damdin gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Baru Damdin showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Damdin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
