Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nycky Downtime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Zanico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Downtime comes to the cage accompanied by Bring It. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rafael Zanico was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zanico connects with a looping right hand.

Downtime gets tackled into the cage by Zanico. Zanico maintains the clinch.
Downtime tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Zanico avoids it.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Downtime throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Zanico drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Downtime tries to land knees in the clinch but Zanico avoids the damage to the body.
Downtime misses with a body punch.

Downtime pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Downtime tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Zanico is able to avoid easily.

Downtime forces Zanico back against the cage and clinches.
Downtime lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Downtime is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Downtime breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Zanico takes the fight into the clinch.
Zanico is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Downtime is defending well.
Nycky Downtime has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafael Zanico.
Downtime tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Zanico avoids it.

Zanico gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Downtime controls Zanico momentarily but Zanico frees himself.
Downtime wants to stand up but Zanico is controlling him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zanico stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Downtime swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Downtime decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Zanico, up you get!

Downtime scores with a nice right hand.
Downtime comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Zanico looks gassed!

Downtime moves into range and clinches up with Zanico.
Downtime misses with a body punch.

Downtime breaks the clinch.
Downtime will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Downtime lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Downtime.

and Downtime counters with a left hand that sends Zanico to the canvas!

Downtime in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Downtime gets to his feet. Zanico looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
