The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens misses with a few strikes there.
Simba scores with a nice head shot.
Simba throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Simba misses with a wild combination.
Stevens closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Simba quickly recovers to half guard.
Stevens looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Simba wants to improve his position but Stevens is controlling well.
Stevens has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Simba defend it? Stevens steps over the head and cranks it - Simba is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Stevens!
