Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joseph Donelly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Baby Jay!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donelly misses with an uppercut.
Donelly misses the jab.
Jay missing with a left hand there. Donelly was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Donelly uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jay.

and Jay counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Donelly scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
A looping hook to the body misses from Donelly. Jay does a little dance to reset his feet.
Donelly misses with a double jab.
Jay shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Donelly pinned against the cage. Donelly gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jay takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Donelly thows a body shot but no joy.

Donelly dips to his left and cracks Jay with an uppercut!
A looping hook to the body misses from Jay. Donelly does a little dance to reset his feet.
The fighters circling - Donelly throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Donelly connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jay momentarily.
Jay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Donelly moves away.
Jay feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Donelly's calf.

Jay bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Jay goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Donelly has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jay but great work by Donelly.

Jay manages to work his way to half guard, despite Donelly's best efforts.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jay is looking for a sweep. Donelly is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Donelly is looking to pass Jay's guard but actually Jay recovers to full guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jay holds on and takes a little breather.
Jay is trying to control the position but Donelly postures up.

Donelly decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Jay shoots in and bounces Donelly off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Jay throws an elbow that misses. Donelly uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jay's guard. Nice move by Donelly!

Jay looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Donelly is defending well. Jay quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Donelly has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Jay celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

A relieved looking Baby Jay thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
