Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clinton Chaos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chaos is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Soilwork - Natural Born Chaos. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dwayne Hicks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Clinton Chaos!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaos tests Hicks's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Chaos lands with a straight right. Hicks didn't see that one coming.
Hicks throws a hook but Chaos avoids it easily.
Chaos takes a swing at Hicks's ribcage but misses.
Chaos misses with an uppercut.
Hicks sizes up Chaos with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Chaos moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Chaos misses with a hook to the body
and Hicks counters with a left to the body.
Chaos connects with a single shot there.
Hicks avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hicks takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chaos swats away the attempt to clinch by Hicks.
Chaos stuns Hicks with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Hicks takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Chaos will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Hicks scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Chaos doesn't seem bothered though.

so Hicks counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Chaos is pulling down on Hicks's head. It's preventing any offense from Hicks, at least for the moment.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hicks lands a nice shot to the body.
Chaos throws a sloppy head kick and Hicks moves out of range easily.

Chaos moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Chaos tries to land a front kick but Hicks steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Hicks fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Chaos to the ground. Hicks is now in Chaos's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chaos is on top in guard.

Hicks wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chaos wants to control from the top but Hicks keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Chaos on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Chaos throws a hook but Hicks blocks it.
Hicks pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Chaos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chaos scores with a hook to the body. Hicks takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Hicks throws a looping overhand right but Chaos ducks down to avoid it.
Chaos digs a good hook to Hicks's body.
Hicks throws a leg kick which misses Chaos's front leg but catches the back leg as Chaos tries to avoid it.

Hicks looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Good leg kick by Chaos there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Chaos lets loose with a powerful body kick. Hicks will feel that in the morning.
That kick from Chaos tenderised Hicks's leg. Hicks is trying to keep his angry face on.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hicks misses with a kick to the body.
Nice body punch from Chaos.
Hicks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chaos paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Chaos counters with a series of strikes. Hicks will be more careful next time no doubt.

Hicks sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Clinton Chaos dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Chaos is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hicks sees it coming and defends easily.

Clinton Chaos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Chaos tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hicks was well out of range. Poor timing from Chaos.

Clinton Chaos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hicks connects with a nice short shot to Chaos's temple.

I would just about give that final round to Clinton Chaos.
I've got Chaos winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Clinton Chaos spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
