Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Kappa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Welsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Welsh has chosen Wicked as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, David Kappa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Welsh!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welsh slips under a jab from Kappa.

Welsh pushes Kappa up against the cage in a clinch.
Kappa is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Welsh is defending well for now.
Kappa misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Welsh.
Welsh lands with a short head shot on the inside.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Welsh creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Welsh gets through Kappa's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Kappa pulls guard successfully.
Welsh stands up over Kappa, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Welsh stopping the sweep attempt from Kappa.
Kappa keeping moving, preventing Welsh from controlling successfully.
Welsh won't allow Kappa to sweep him here.
Welsh in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Kappa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Welsh gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kappa lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Welsh!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Welsh wants to try and get back to his feet.

Kappa trying to control but Welsh is having none of it.
Welsh is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kappa looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Welsh working to try and regain half guard.
Welsh is in a horrible position here. Kappa smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Welsh regains half guard.
Welsh wants to get back to full guard.

Kappa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Welsh is just riding it out for now. Kappa eventually gives up the hold.
Welsh is looking to improve his position.
Kappa stalling away here and it's allowed Welsh to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Welsh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kappa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kappa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kappa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Welsh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kappa has managed to get both his arms back between Welsh's legs - danger averted.
Kappa is pushing down on Welsh's leg trying to pass to half guard. Welsh is fighting to maintain full guard but Kappa has managed to sneak the leg through.
Welsh is looking to control Kappa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Welsh avoid being mounted?

Welsh is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kappa pulls his head out easily.

Kappa seems to be looking for submissions.
Kappa is looking to advance position but Welsh won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kappa is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Welsh!
Kappa looking to control but Welsh is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Kappa jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Welsh manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Welsh avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kappa.
Welsh is trying to improve his position.
Welsh regains half guard.
Welsh is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kappa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kappa's back!
Welsh lands with a hammerfist to the side of Kappa's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kappa manages to reverse the position and now he's in Welsh's guard. Nice work there by Kappa.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Welsh looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kappa is one step ahead there.
Kappa tries to free his leg and advance position but Welsh is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Welsh moves in looking to clinch but Kappa pushes him off.
Kappa lands a slapping body shot.
Kappa with a nice cross.
Kappa tries a head kick but it misses.
Kappa connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Johnny Welsh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kappa thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Welsh if he has to take too many more of those.
Kappa listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Welsh misses with a double jab.

Kappa tries to keep at a distance but Welsh has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kappa unloads a knee to the mid-section. Welsh lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Kappa lands an elbow just above Welsh 's eye.


It looks like Johnny Welsh has been cut.

Kappa is trying to trip Welsh. He has hold of a leg but Welsh is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kappa persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Welsh is looking for a triangle here but Kappa uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Welsh is breathing heavily.

Kappa is trying to get an arm triangle but Welsh is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kappa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kappa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kappa tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Welsh tries to escape but Kappa is in control.
You can see the frustration on Welsh's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kappa tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Kappa lands some shots froms side control.
Welsh prevents Kappa from moving into mount.
Kappa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Welsh keeps working.
Kappa working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Welsh sneaks back into half guard.

Kappa is looking for a kimura here.

Kappa is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Welsh defends it well.
Welsh makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Welsh.

Welsh can't keep his opponent in guard - Kappa advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Kappa trying to control the action but Welsh is working from the bottom.

Kappa wants to work for an arm triangle but Welsh is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Kappa works his foot free and advances to mount.
Welsh manages to regain half guard. Good work.

That's time! Kappa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Welsh tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kappa was well out of range. Poor timing from Welsh.
Welsh tries to clinch there but Kappa circles away.
Kappa fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Welsh has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Welsh jabs Kappa to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Welsh tests Kappa's chin there with a solid looking shot.


It looks like David Kappa has been cut.
Welsh moves in looking to clinch but Kappa pushes him off.
A low kick from Welsh is predictable there
and Kappa counters with a left and a right that stings Welsh.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kappa scores with a crisp jab that stopped Welsh in his tracks.


Welsh is rocked!
OH! Welsh has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Kappa smells blood and charges in for the finish! Kappa unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Welsh sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). David Kappa!
Post fight, an emotional David Kappa said 'Who's next motherfucker!? Give me that Title Shot. That Belt belongs to The Green Beast! Nobody stopping me. '.
