PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaime Lener (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Locke kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The State Of Massachusetts - Dropkick Murphys. Jaime Lener will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Locke misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Locke uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lener.
Locke tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Some bone on bone action there as Locke checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Lener throws a low kick but it's checked well by Locke.
Lener tries to clinch up.
Locke throws a head kick that misses.
Locke gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Locke throws an off balance right hand
and Lener counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Lener closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lener is thwarting Locke's attempts to control the position.
Lener really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Locke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Locke is trying to control but can't.
Locke gets back to full guard.
Locke is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Lener is sitting in close to Locke's body. Locke has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Lener is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Lener is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Locke.
