PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spotted Cow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Spotted Cow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Piotr Rasputin!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasputin takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Cow throws a head kick but Rasputin moves out of range.
Cow fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rasputin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Cow throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rasputin throws a head kick that misses
and Cow counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Rasputin takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Cow throws a head kick but Rasputin moves out of range.
A head kick by Cow misses
and Cow takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Spotted Cow has been cut.
A good leg kick by Rasputin.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rasputin throws a body kick that misses.
Cow is looking to clinch but Rasputin is avoiding it.
Cow fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Cow lands a nice shot to the body.
Rasputin throws out a powerful jab.
Rasputin throws a nice inside leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rasputin lands a head kick!
Cow gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Rasputin counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Cow is breathing heavily.
Rasputin throws the kick towards the body but Cow avoids it.
Some bone on bone action there as Cow checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Cow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rasputin as he jumps to the side.

Cow fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rasputin sprawls well initially but Cow persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rasputin keeping control of the position.
Cow thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rasputin's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cow with the ground and pound but Rasputin uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Rasputin scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Cow shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rasputin eats them both and turns towards Cow to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Rasputin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cow was well out of range. Poor timing from Rasputin.
Piotr Rasputin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cow blocks a low kick nicely.
Spotted Cow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice body kick from Cow.
Cow fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Spotted Cow. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rasputin fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Cow checks it well.
Cow fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Rasputin misses with a hook
and Rasputin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cow lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Decent striking displayed by Rasputin there.
Cow throws a head kick that misses.
Rasputin lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Cow throws a half hearted mid kick.
Cow tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rasputin checks the leg kick.
Cow takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Cow.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cow is working Rasputin over with some ground and pound from side control.
Cow landing a few strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cow fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Rasputin dodges the ground and pound from Cow.
Cow taking a breather here.
Cow has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cow wants to control but Rasputin is keeping him busy.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cow throwing strikes but Rasputin manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Spotted Cow will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Spotted Cow's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Rasputin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cow checks the leg kick.
Rasputin lands with a hook. Cow tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Cow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rasputin avoids it really well and circles away.
Cow looks to throw a body kick
and Rasputin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rasputin slips a straight right by Cow.
Cow checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Cow connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Cow scores with a shot to the body.
Rasputin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cow at a distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rasputin feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Cow sprawling to the canvas! Cow rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rasputin finish him?!
Rasputin changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Rasputin walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Cow drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Rasputin swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Cow's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Piotr Rasputin!
During a confident post fight interview, Piotr Rasputin thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
