The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quick circles away from the clinch attempt.

Quick instigates a clinch.
Quick looking for a takedown.
Quick pushes Silva back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Silva fails to pull guard.
Quick lands a knee to the body.

Quick manages to break the clinch.

Quick has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Quick is working for takedown but Silva is calmly controlling the position for now.
Silva drops down looking for an ankle pick but Quick pulls his leg out and moves away.
Silva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodrigo Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head kick misses from Quick.

Quick takes the fight into the clinch.
Silva tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Quick smiles and moves away.

and Quick counters with an inside leg kick.
Joe Quick is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Silva is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Quick as he jumps to the side.
Quick connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Silva tumbling to the canvas! Quick pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Silva was done - good stoppage!
