Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Nere!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rob Brown!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown is looking to clinch but Nere is avoiding it.
No luck for Nere with that takedown attempt.
Nere tries a head kick but it misses.
Brown misses with a head kick.
Brown swinging wildly here.
Nere shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brown as he jumps to the side.
Brown misses with a series of wild punches.
A low kick from Nere misses
and Brown counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Brown breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Nere closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brown to the mat! Brown manages to get full guard.

Nere postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brown is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nere, into his guard.
Brown wants to get up but he can't break Nere's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nere is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Brown has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Brown!

Nere changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brown tries to avoid it but Nere manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brown to the ground. Brown escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
