Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Stubb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masjid Amirpour (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stubb comes to the cage accompanied by Paper Scratcher. Amirpour has chosen Can't Turn You Loose as his entrance music. Michael Stubb has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Amirpour fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stubb sprawls well initially but Amirpour persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Amirpour looks to land a strike but Stubb avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Stubb can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Amirpour controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stubb is looking for a triangle but Amirpour pushes his legs off easily.

Stubb has his foot on Amirpour's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Amirpour works his way back into a safe position though.

Amirpour is looking to take a break and control but Stubb is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Amirpour scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Stubb is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Amirpour can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
