Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Peterwhacker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolay Baskov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baskov has chosen Nikolay Baskov - You are far from me as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Michael Peterwhacker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Nikolay Baskov!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peterwhacker clinches with his opponent.
Peterwhacker utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Baskov drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Peterwhacker lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Baskov backwards.
Peterwhacker misses with a punch on the inside.

Peterwhacker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Baskov doesn't manage to clinch there - Peterwhacker circles away.
Baskov has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


It looks like Nikolay Baskov has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A looping hook to the body misses from Peterwhacker. Baskov does a little dance to reset his feet.
Baskov thuds a left hand into Peterwhacker's body.
Michael Peterwhacker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peterwhacker stalks Baskov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Baskov's face. Baskov staggers backwards, shaken.
A punch combination from Peterwhacker misses.

Peterwhacker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Baskov, pushing him back against the cage.
Peterwhacker pushes off an throws an elbow but Baskov leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Baskov is trying to trip Peterwhacker. He has hold of a leg but Peterwhacker is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Baskov persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Baskovis looking to pass into half guard but Peterwhacker pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Peterwhacker is in guard.
Baskov throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Baskov working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Peterwhacker has passed into half guard!
Peterwhacker works his way into side control.
Baskov manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Peterwhacker thows a huge punch but Baskov dodges it nicely.
Baskov wants to improve his position but Peterwhacker is controlling well.
Baskov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Baskov looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Baskov actively working from the bottom here.
Peterwhacker is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Peterwhacker sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Baskov defending well though.
Baskov trying to hold on to Peterwhacker's head to control him but Peterwhacker postures up.

Baskov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Peterwhacker pulls his head out easily.
Peterwhacker throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Nice strikes from Peterwhacker there.
Peterwhacker throwing shots but Baskov is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Baskov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Baskov.
Peterwhacker lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Peterwhacker works over Baskov with some ground and pound from guard.


Baskov is rocked!
Peterwhacker postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Baskov covers up, he's hurt! Peterwhacker keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Peterwhacker and the ref steps in to end the fight! Peterwhacker can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Peterwhacker!
Michael Peterwhacker really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Fossington & Blythe: Gentlemen's Fight Attire logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
