Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Montague Withnail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Withnail kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is My Friends. Brown has chosen The Hybrid as his entrance music. Daniel Brown will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown is looking to clinch.

Brown does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Brown lands a nice leg kick that just misses Withnail's sensitive parts.

Brown throws a chopping leg kick but Withnail manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Withnail tries to break the clinch but Brown is controlling the position.

Withnail changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brown fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Brown throws a looping overhand right but Withnail ducks down to avoid it.

Brown moves into range and clinches up with Withnail.
Withnail drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Brown's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

With the fighters up against the cage, Brown throws an elbow but misses.
Brown is pushing Withnail up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Withnail tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Brown smiles and moves away.

Brown thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Withnail if he has to take too many more of those.
Brown lands a nice leg kick that just misses Withnail's sensitive parts.

Withnail displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Brown throws out the jab.

Withnail gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Brown has a closed guard, preventing Withnail from standing up.
Brown can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Withnail controls the pace.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Withnail drops back looking for a leg! Brown is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brown manages to kick Withnail off! Withnail jumps back into Brown's guard.

Withnail is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Brown frees his head nicely. Oh but Withnail has switched to an armbar! Brown is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
