Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dimitry McFarlen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nameless One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFarlen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

McFarlen forces One back against the cage and clinches.
McFarlen tries a body shot but One blocks it.
McFarlen tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and One avoids it.
McFarlen has a couple of punches blocked by One.

McFarlen is fighting off a takedown attempt but One is just too persistent for him and manages to trip McFarlen to the mat. McFarlen regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
One trying to control the position from guard on top but McFarlen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
One postures up in McFarlen's guard and throws a big left but McFarlen blocks it.
One passes easily into side control. Nice work.
McFarlen wants to get back to his feet.
McFarlen is trying to get back to half guard.

One sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but McFarlen is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
McFarlen is pushing One's head away, looking to escape. One manages to hold on to the position though.

One is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McFarlen has escaped the position, nice work there.

One is trying to get an arm triangle but McFarlen is defending well.
One has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
One cracks McFarlen with a big elbow.

Nameless One dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


One lands with a hook. McFarlen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

and One counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
McFarlen's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and McFarlen duly obliges.
McFarlen dips to his left and cracks One with an uppercut!

One changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McFarlen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Nameless One has got the better of the ground game so far.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
One postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

One tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

One tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no One has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

One sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but McFarlen is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

One tries to score with some ground and pound. McFarlen controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
One throws a strike aimed at the side of McFarlen's head but McFarlen avoids it well.

Nameless One showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

McFarlen throws a sloppy head kick and One moves out of range easily.
McFarlen tries to clinch but One is having none of it.

One throws a leg kick which misses McFarlen's front leg but catches the back leg as McFarlen tries to avoid it.

McFarlen throws the kick towards the body but One avoids it.
McFarlen misses with a body shot.

McFarlen is looking to score with low kicks.

One closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
One prevents McFarlen from standing back up.
One throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

One not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
One is just content to waste time from the top position. McFarlen takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

McFarlen gets to his feet - One follows without any prompting.
One throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

A telegraphed right hand from McFarlen misses the target.
One avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
One lands a body shot.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by One.
One throws a hook to the side of McFarlen's head but McFarlen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
One fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and One counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McFarlen thinking.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
McFarlen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McFarlen pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

McFarlen jabbing away but nothing is landing.
One pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
McFarlen throws a predictable looking body shot
and One counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
McFarlen throws a sloppy head kick and One moves out of range easily.
One lands a nice looking kick to the body. McFarlen takes a step back to recover.
One tests McFarlen's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McFarlen tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and One is able to avoid easily.
One defending well as McFarlen loads up on a big left hand.

One lands a nice shot to the body.

It looks like Dimitry McFarlen has been cut.

McFarlen is pressed up against the cage. One has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McFarlen down to the mat. McFarlen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Dimitry McFarlen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nameless One.

One stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

McFarlen is looking to wear down One with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
McFarlen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

A close third round but Nameless One just about did enough to take it.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

McFarlen swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by One.
McFarlen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
McFarlen stuffs the takedown attempt from One. One gets slowly back to his feet.
One avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
One blocks a head kick by McFarlen.
The fighters circle momentarily. McFarlen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
One takes a body punch but keeps moving.
McFarlen scores with a push kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McFarlen throws a body punch but One moves out of range.
McFarlen throws a left and a right that both miss
and One counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
McFarlen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

McFarlen looks to score with a jab to the body but One is just out of range.
That kick from One tenderised McFarlen's leg. McFarlen is trying to keep his angry face on.
One lands a front kick.
McFarlen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. One manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
One lands a nice hook to McFarlen's body. McFarlen takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

McFarlen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McFarlen moves in looking to clinch but One pushes him off.
One scores with a hook to the body. McFarlen takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
One fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
One blocks a head kick by McFarlen.

Horrible takedown by One or perhaps it was just good defense by McFarlen which made him look bad.
Dimitry McFarlen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nameless One.
One shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
McFarlen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
One blocks a head kick by McFarlen.
McFarlen cracks One with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
This has been an exciting period of action!
One lands a leg kick that knocks McFarlen off balance momentarily.
McFarlen throws a sloppy head kick and One moves out of range easily.
McFarlen tries to close the distance and clinch but One swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from One.

McFarlen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
One explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
One thows a body shot but no joy.
One misses the shot to the body.
One keeps the fight on the outside.
One throws a nice inside leg kick.
One misses with a low kick.
One shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McFarlen as he jumps to the side.
McFarlen lands a high kick!
McFarlen walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. One checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

One shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McFarlen's guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
One postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

One stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McFarlen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McFarlen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst One is controlling him.

McFarlen swings for the body but One moves out of range.
McFarlen fails to land with a series of punches.
One walks into a straight right hand from McFarlen.
McFarlen takes a swing at One's ribcage but misses.
McFarlen connects with a nice looking jab.
One scoring well with a low kick there.
One scores with a kick to the body.

McFarlen is on the wrong end of a nice combination from One.
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

McFarlen closes the distance and pushes One back into the cage.

McFarlen tried to land a shot to the body but connects with One's elbow.
One blocks an uppercut.
A right hand to the body from One.
One throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
One pushes McFarlen back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

One escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

McFarlen gets caught napping as One dives in and scores a takedown. McFarlen manages to retain guard.
One scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
One throwing strikes but missing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
One throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McFarlen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

One drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McFarlen manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now One has McFarlen in his guard.
Dimitry McFarlen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

McFarlen won't allow One to sweep him here.
One lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McFarlen!
One thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
McFarlen tries to get back to half guard but can't.

One putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
One throwing strikes here but McFarlen is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

One working for a guillotine from mount but McFarlen is in no mood to give up.

One goes for an armbar but he's not got it… McFarlen turns into him and now he's in One's guard.
McFarlen works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Nameless One is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

One wants to get back to full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

One is defending against the submission attempts here by McFarlen.

McFarlen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! One is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McFarlen, into his guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nameless One comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got One winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
