Rosario comes to the cage accompanied by COBRA. Dillinger has chosen A Milli Killer Instrumental as his entrance music. Fernando Rosario is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fernando Rosario!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin Dillinger!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Rosario lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dillinger doesn't seem phased though.


It looks like Justin Dillinger has been cut.
Rosario misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dillinger misses with a double jab
and Rosario counters with a stiff right hand.
Rosario is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dillinger.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dillinger.
Rosario bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rosario rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dillinger moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dillinger lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rosario circles away quickly and effectively.
Dillinger feints a jab promting Rosario to slip. Dillinger then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Rosario slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Dillinger takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rosario. Dillinger does a little dance to reset his feet.

Dillinger closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sloppy strikes there by Dillinger.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dillinger looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Rosario is avoiding damage well.

Dillinger tries to score with some ground and pound. Rosario controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Dillinger has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rosario tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dillinger sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Rosario is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Rosario on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rosario tries to get out of the position.
Rosario tries to improve position but can't.
Rosario takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Rosario dodges the ground and pound from Dillinger.
Dillinger in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Rosario is looking to regain half guard here but Dillinger keeps moving and retains side control.

Dillinger stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Dillinger fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Rosario uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dillinger has time to react.
This has been an exciting period of action!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dillinger.
Fernando Rosario has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Dillinger.
Rosario is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Dillinger.
Dillinger swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Rosario lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dillinger at a distance.
Dillinger looks gassed!
Rosario lands a slapping body shot.
Dillinger looks for a takedown but Rosario sprawls well.
Rosario lands a head shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rosario lunges at Dillinger with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Dillinger's hand.
Justin Dillinger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rosario uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.


That has opened up Justin Dillinger's cut even more.
Dillinger misses with a takedown attempt - Rosario sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dillinger avoids a punch combination nicely.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Dillinger.
Dillinger shoots for a double leg takedown but Rosario sprawls well. He's pushed Dillinger's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rosario lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dillinger at a distance.
Rosario fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dillinger looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Rosario lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Dillinger has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dillinger there as he acknowledges the shot.
Dillinger gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Rosario lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.


The cut above Justin Dillinger's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rosario scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Rosario cracks Dillinger with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rosario has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Dillinger to stand back up!


Dillinger is rocked!
Dillinger doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dillinger is still on wobbly legs! Can Rosario finish him?
Rosario fakes the body blow, causing Dillinger to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Dillinger goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Fernando Rosario!
A very excited looking Fernando Rosario made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
