Abbott doesn't manage to clinch there - Mondello circles away.
Abbott throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Abbott is defended easily by Mondello.

Abbott gets tackled into the cage by Mondello. Mondello maintains the clinch.
Abbott tries to score a body lock takedown but Mondello shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mondello has Abbott pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Abbott is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Mondello - that's hurt Abbott badly! Oh, another knee lands and Abbott is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Abbott doesn't seem to be complaining.
