PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Protagonist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gentleman Ghost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Protagonist might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Teenage Bottlerocket - Bigger Than Kiss. Ghost has chosen Castle in the Mist as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 20 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gentleman Ghost!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ghost connects with a jab.
Ghost scores with a sloppy right hand. Protagonist should have avoided that one.
Gentleman Ghost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ghost falls off balance throwing a combination
and Protagonist counters with a stiff right hand.
Ghost misses with a hook.
Protagonist throws the kick towards the body but Ghost avoids it.
Ghost scores with a leg kick.
Ghost throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Protagonist's waist but Protagonist gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ghost off to one side.
Ghost throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ghost on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Ghost fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Ghost ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Protagonist moves away.
Protagonist displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ghost throws out the jab.
Ghost tried to score with a low kick but Protagonist checks it.
Ghost throws a solid leg kick but Protagonist takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ghost.
Ghost lands a high kick!

That's one minute gone in the round.
A nice leg kick lands there from Protagonist.
Protagonist pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ghost lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Protagonist has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Protagonist and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Protagonist throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Ghost crashing down! Ghost tries to stagger back to his feet but Protagonist just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Ghost asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hiro Protagonist!
Hiro Protagonist really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Undead clothing. All items 10$ logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
