PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wolverine Warpath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Struve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warpath comes to the cage accompanied by X-men theme song. Struve is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by nie Tempah - Written In The Stars. Wolverine Warpath has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Struve swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Struve throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Struve throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Warpath lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

It looks like Stefan Struve has been cut.
Struve walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
A combination from Struve does no damage.
Warpath looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Warpath takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Struve throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Warpath's waist but Warpath gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Struve off to one side.
Warpath fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Struve takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Warpath cracks Struve with a right hand to the side of the head.
Struve takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Warpath looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Struve needs to keep his hands up - Warpath had a free shot at his head there.
Wolverine Warpath is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Warpath misses with a wild combination.
Warpath bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Struve's head backwards.
Warpath misses the jab.
Struve throws a body punch but Warpath moves out of range.
Warpath on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Warpath lands with a nice body punch.
Warpath drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Warpath scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Struve scores with a head kick.

Warpath ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The fighters circle momentarily. Warpath darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Struve throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Warpath stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Struve displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Warpath throws out the jab.
Struve misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Struve misses with a series of wild punches.
Struve slips a jab and a cross from Warpath.
Warpath fails to land with a series of punches.

Warpath tests Struve's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Struve lands with a kick to the temple. Warpath shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Warpath throws a shot to the body.
Struve changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Warpath tries to avoid it but Struve manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Warpath to the ground. Warpath escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A big left from Struve misses.
Struve takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Warpath is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Struve looks gassed!
Struve looks to score with a jab to the body but Warpath is just out of range.

Warpath throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Struve on the side of the head.

enabling Warpath to counter with a crisp jab.
Struve is still on wobbly legs! Can Warpath finish him?
Warpath drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Struve right on the button. Struve goes down! Warpath follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Warpath gets the win via TKO!

After winning the bout, Wolverine Warpath thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
