Nurminen comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC- Thunderstruck. Leroix has chosen Jump you f***** jump as his entrance music. The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leroix fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Leroix throws a good cross that connects.
Nurminen looks to throw the jab but Leroix is out of range.
Leroix throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Leroix jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nurminen.
Leroix thows a body kick. Nurminen tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Nurminen throws a hook but Leroix blocks it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nurminen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Leroix lands an overhand right.
Nurminen looks to score with a jab to the body but Leroix is just out of range.
Leroix lands the left hand.
Leroix forces Nurminen back against the cage and clinches.
Leroix on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Leroix working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Leroix keeps control of Nurminen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Leroix lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Leroix blocks an uppercut.
A right handed body shot lands from Leroix.
Leroix scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Nurminen is rocked!
Nurminen tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Oh Nurminen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nurminen is breathing heavily.
Nurminen is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Leroix is defending well.
Nurminen seems to have got his legs back now.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Leroix.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Nurminen just misses with a elbow thrown towards Leroix's brow.
Leroix lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Nurminen backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Leroix creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Nurminen with a big uppercut! Nurminen tries to clinch up but Leroix pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Nurminen to the mat! Nurminen covers up and Leroix unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ricardo Leroix!
