Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ginger Root (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jima Jamm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Root comes to the cage accompanied by Viva la Vida. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ginger Root!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jima Jamm!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jamm feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Root's calf.
Jamm lands with a thumping leg kick.
Jamm blocks a jab.
Jamm tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Root gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Jamm scores with a nice body kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Root throws a body punch but Jamm moves out of range.
Jamm avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A head kick misses from Jamm.
Root throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Root tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Jamm scores with a nice head shot.
Nice takedown defense from Jamm. No joy for Root on that attempt.
Root shoots for a double leg takedown but Jamm sprawls well. He's pushed Root's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Root is breathing heavily.
Jamm doesn't manage to clinch there - Root circles away.
Jamm cracks Root with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Root misses with a jab to the body
and Jamm counters with a nice low kick that buckles Root's knee momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Root shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jamm defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ginger Root. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head kick by Jamm - that's a beauty! Root is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Jamm can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jima Jamm!
Jima Jamm really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Black Belt Nutrition #=========||=========# logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
