Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Haggen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Lojack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lojack's choice of entrance music: Master Exploder. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lou Haggen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sam Lojack!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haggen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lojack circles away.
Lou Haggen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Haggen digs a good body shot into Lojack's ribs.
Lojack fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Haggen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lojack was covering up waiting for the punch and Haggen finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Haggen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Haggen drops back looking for a leg! Lojack is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lojack manages to kick Haggen off! Haggen jumps back into Lojack's guard.

Haggen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lojack swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lojack not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Haggen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lojack's guard.
Haggen tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Lojack.
Haggen wants to pass the guard but Lojack is defending well.

Haggen is looking for a kimura here.

Haggen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lojack doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Haggen.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Haggen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lojack slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Haggen passes Lojack's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lojack can do anything to dispel that myth.
Haggen has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
A nice elbow there by Haggen.

Haggen goes for an armbar but Lojack turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Lojack.

Lojack got a little sloppy there for a moment and Haggen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lojack has managed to get both his arms back between Haggen's legs - danger averted.
Lojack is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Haggen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Haggen has an active guard here but Lojack has managed to pass into half guard.

Lojack stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Lojack counters with a head kick.
Haggen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lojack sprawls well. Lojack wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Haggen gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Lojack tries to clinch up but Haggen circles away and keeps his distance.
Haggen misses with an uppercut
and Lojack counters with a nice uppercut.
Haggen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lojack uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Haggen.
Lojack explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Haggen fails with a takedown attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Haggen. Lojack does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Lojack counters with a good, hard body kick but Haggen shrugs it off.

Haggen gets a clinch.
Haggen is looking to take this one to the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lojack manages to break the clinch.
Lojack will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lojack throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Lojack throws a sloppy head kick and Haggen moves out of range easily.

Lojack rushes Haggen and presses him up against the cage.

Lojack breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Haggen tries to bum rush Lojack with a series of wild strikes but Lojack uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Haggen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lojack circles away quickly and effectively.
Lojack defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Haggen.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lou Haggen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Haggen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lojack counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Haggen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Haggen takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
A looping hook to the body misses from Haggen. Lojack does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lojack misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Lojack loads up on a big right hand but Haggen slips the punch.
Lojack lands with a kick to the temple. Haggen shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Haggen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lojack lands a nice looking body kick.

Haggen instigates a clinch.

Lojack escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lojack throws a sloppy head kick and Haggen moves out of range easily.
Haggen pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lou Haggen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lojack shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Haggen napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Lou Haggen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Haggen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Haggen has gone for a leg lock! Lojack slips out almost immediately though and dives into Haggen's guard.

Lojack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haggen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lojack might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Haggen kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sam Lojack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Haggen lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Lojack takes the fight into the clinch.

Lojack's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Haggen tries for a takedown but Lojack manages to get underhooks.

Lojack gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Haggen to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Lojack uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Haggen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lojack's waist but Lojack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Haggen off to one side.

Lojack throws a sloppy head kick and Haggen moves out of range easily.
Haggen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lojack as he jumps to the side.

Lojack tries to close the distance and clinch up but Haggen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Lojack throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Haggen misses with a takedown
and Lojack counters with a head kick. That will keep Haggen thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Haggen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lojack tries to avoid it but Haggen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lojack to the ground. Lojack escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Haggen fails to land with a series of punches.
Lojack throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Haggen shoots for a double leg takedown but Lojack sprawls well. He's pushed Haggen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Haggen shoots in looking for a takedown but Lojack manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Haggen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Haggen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Haggen has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Lojack.
Lojack throws a head kick but Haggen moves out of range.
Haggen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lojack moves away.
Haggen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Lojack rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Haggen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Haggen throws a right hand that Lojack ducks under and follows up with a left that Lojack also avoids with ease.

Lojack throws a series of strikes that have Haggen backpedaling.
Haggen throws a right and a left that Lojack avoids nicely.

Lojack lands with a slapping head kick.

Lojack leaves Haggen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lojack throws a sloppy head kick and Haggen moves out of range easily.
Haggen looks to throw the jab but Lojack is out of range.

Haggen is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Lojack's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Haggen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lojack gets the underhooks and prevents it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lojack won't allow Haggen to sweep him here.
Haggen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Haggen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sam Lojack comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Lojack has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
