Christ has chosen Jesus walks-Kanye West as his entrance music. Eagle Spurghoff has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eagle Spurghoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesus Christ!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christ throws a nice looking combination but Spurghoff bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Christ fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Spurghoff to the ground. Christ is now in Spurghoff's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Spurghoff has his feet on Christ's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Spurghoff changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Christ tries to avoid it but Spurghoff manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Christ to the ground. Christ escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Spurghoff wants to clinch up but Christ keeps it at a distance.
Spurghoff throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Christ's head.
Spurghoff pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Christ back to the cage. Spurghoff follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Spurghoff is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Spurghoff really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Christ wants a takedown.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Christ misses with some punches.
Spurghoff is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Christ drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Spurghoff gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Eagle Spurghoff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesus Christ.
Christ stops a takedown attempt from Spurghoff.

Spurghoff successfully pulls guard.
Christ trying to stand up but can't free himself from Spurghoff's guard.
Christ working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Spurghoff controls Christ momentarily but Christ frees himself.
Spurghoff keeping moving, preventing Christ from controlling successfully.
Christ won't allow Spurghoff to get back to his feet.

Christ wants to stand and escape but instead Spurghoff has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Spurghoff sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Spurghoff trying to control but Christ is working from the bottom.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Christ throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Christ can do anything to dispel that myth.
Spurghoff won't allow Christ to sweep him here.
Spurghoff is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Spurghoff accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Christ keeping moving, preventing Spurghoff from controlling successfully.

Christ is looking for a triangle but Spurghoff pushes his legs off easily.

Christ is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Spurghoff throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Spurghoff stops Christ from standing up.
Spurghoff passes Christ's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Christ scores with a few weak punches.
Christ is looking to control Spurghoff's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Christ avoid being mounted?

Spurghoff has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Spurghoff takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Spurghoff scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Christ tries to hold on but Spurghoff pushes him away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Christ wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Spurghoff.
Spurghoff wants to control the pace but Christ is squirming around nicely.
Christ keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eagle Spurghoff dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Spurghoff throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Christ.
Christ falls off balance throwing a combination
and Spurghoff counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Christ shoots in and bounces Spurghoff off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Spurghoff wants to stand and escape but Christ is having none of it.
Christ wants to pass the guard but Spurghoff is keeping the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Spurghoff is on top in guard.

Spurghoff throwing strikes from guard but Christ blocks nicely.
Spurghoff will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Christ is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Spurghoff stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Spurghoff misses with a combination

so Christ counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Christ trying to control but Spurghoff is working from the bottom.
Spurghoff has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Spurghoff looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spurghoff wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Christ trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Christ decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Spurghoff enables Christ to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Spurghoff manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Christ sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Spurghoff doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Christ paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Spurghoff - great work!
