Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Biggie Smalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smalls comes to the cage accompanied by Juciy. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Filipovic.

Smalls blocks a head kick by Filipovic.
Filipovic tries a head kick but it misses.
Smalls has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Filipovic finds it's way round the side to connect with Smalls's head.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Filipovic wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Smalls has him pressed against the cage.
Filipovic wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Smalls is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Filipovic sees it coming and defends easily.

Smalls wants to pass the guard but Filipovic is defending well.
Smalls prevents Filipovic from standing back up.
Smalls missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Smalls is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Biggie Smalls.
Filipovic scores with a head kick. Smalls tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Filipovic tries a head kick but it misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Filipovic misses the target.
Filipovic throws a sloppy head kick and Smalls moves out of range easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smalls feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Smalls not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Biggie Smalls wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Filipovic throws a head kick that misses.
Smalls shoots in looking for a takedown but Filipovic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Smalls's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Filipovic misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Filipovic throws a sloppy head kick and Smalls moves out of range easily.
Filipovic looks gassed!
Smalls moves into range and clinches up with Filipovic.
Smalls is trying to force a seperation but Filipovic has the dominant position.
Smalls looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Smalls turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Smalls working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Filipovic is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Smalls asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Smalls throws an elbow but Filipovic slips to the side and avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Filipovic lands a really nice looking cross but Smalls seems unphased.

Smalls clinches up with Filipovic and pushes him back against the cage.

Filipovic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smalls throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Filipovic was covering up waiting for the punch and Smalls finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Filipovic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smalls. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Filipovic is breathing heavily.
Filipovic wants to stand and escape but Smalls is having none of it.

Smalls decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Filipovic throws a hook but Smalls avoids it easily.
Smalls avoids the head kick by Filipovic.
Mirko Filipovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smalls scores a takedown into full mount!
Smalls pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

Smalls tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Smalls working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Filipovic looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Smalls! Submission of the night perhaps?
