Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Burza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burza has chosen Metallica - Enter Sandman as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chuck Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Burza!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burza throws a right hand that Steel ducks under and follows up with a left that Steel also avoids with ease.
Burza takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Burza avoids the head kick by Steel.

Burza shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Burza was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Steel is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Steel is desperately trying to improve his position but Burza has a good base and remains in mount.
Steel has given up his back here.

Burza avoiding Steel 's attempts to control his hands.
Steel tries to roll but Burza sticks to his back.

Burza is trying to stick to Steel's back but Steel is turning into Burza. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Burza's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Steel.

Burza manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Steel manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Steel makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Steel throws a sloppy head kick and Burza moves out of range easily.
Steel throws a low kick but it's checked well by Burza.
Steel throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A slapping leg kick lands for Steel.
Steel gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Steel slips a jab and a cross from Burza.
Steel buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Steel, right into the meat.
Burza throws a jab when Steel was well out of range.

Burza blocks a head kick by Steel.
Steel throws out a loose jab but Burza uses good head movement to avoid it.
Burza takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Burza ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Steel tries a head kick but it misses.
Burza misses with a wild body shot.
Burza misses the shot to the body.
Steel fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Burza checks it well.
A cross from Burza lands.
Steel misses with an uppercut
and Burza counters with a right hand to the body.
Burza takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Burza is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Steel's half guard.
Steel regains full guard. Nicely done.

Steel tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Burza pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Steel is keeping the position for now.
Steel wants to control but Burza passes easily into half guard.
Steel is trying to maintain the position but Burza is very close to passing his half guard.
Steel is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Burza wants to pass to mount but Steel is defending the position.
Burza has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Steel tries to lock up and control but Burza gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Burza trying to control but Steel is having none of it.

Burza has control of Steel's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Steel regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Burza is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Steel is surviving well by controlling Burza's body position as best he can.
Burza prevents Steel from getting the reversal.
Steel tries to lock up and control but Burza gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Burza wants to finish this one by submission but Steel is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Burza.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Steel flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Steel throwing hammer fists to the chest of Burza. What's that going to do exactly?
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Steel tries to reverse the position but Burza maintains control.

Burza working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chuck Steel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Steel throws a head kick but Burza moves out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Steel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Burza passes Steel's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Burza is working for a submission of some sort.

Steel is refusing to be controlled, as Burza sits in half guard.

Burza has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Steel is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Burza's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chuck Steel.
I think Steel has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
