The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lockston takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hayes connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

It looks like Patricky Lockston has been cut.
Lockston slips a jab and a cross from Hayes.
Lockston fails with the takedown
and Hayes counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lockston's knee momentarily.
Khalid Hayes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hayes looks to land a body kick but Lockston moved away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lockston takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Hayes throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lockston on the side of the head.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Lockston doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Hayes fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hayes lands a jab.

Lockston takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Lockston chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hayes can pounce on him.
Hayes digs a good body shot into Lockston's ribs.
Hayes lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Lockston is looking to close the distance but Hayes sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Lockston crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Lockston is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
