The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klutie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gorden swivels and escapes.
Klutie throws a body punch but Gorden moves out of range.
Klutie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gorden did well to prevent Klutie getting side control.
Klutie prevents Gorden from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Klutie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Gorden goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Klutie is on top in guard.

The referee asks Klutie politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Klutie prefers to stall for the moment though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Klutie connects with a nice short shot to Gorden's temple.

Darnell Klutie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Gorden misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gorden tries to score a power double leg takedown but Klutie sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gorden somewhat.
Klutie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Gorden's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Well Klutie has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
