Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ginger Root (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Lasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Root comes to the cage accompanied by Viva la Vida. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ginger Root!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Lasher!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lasher doesn't manage to clinch there - Root circles away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Root swings for the body but Lasher moves out of range.
Lasher tries to clinch up.
Lasher fails in his attempt to clinch.
Root with a jab.
Lasher is looking to clinch but Root is avoiding it.
Lasher tries to clinch there but Root circles away.
Lasher tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Root manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Root ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Root feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Root with a flurry of punches that miss.
Root trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Root is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lasher holds on and takes a little breather.
Root passes Lasher's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Root is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Root has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Lasher defend it? Root steps over the head and cranks it - Lasher is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Root!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ginger Root!
Ginger Root decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
