Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oskar Kokoshka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ignacio Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Oskar Kokoshka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ignacio Da Silva!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kokoshka jabs at Da Silva's body.
Da Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kokoshka counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Da Silva tries for a takedown but Kokoshka circles away easily
and Kokoshka counters with a three punch combo that has Da Silva backing up. Da Silva nods at Kokoshka to acknowledge the strikes.
Kokoshka really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Da Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kokoshka counters with a right hand to the body.
Oskar Kokoshka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ignacio Da Silva.

Kokoshka will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kokoshka is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Da Silva would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Kokoshka wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Da Silva wants to control from the top but Kokoshka keeps moving.
Da Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kokoshka swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kokoshka is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ignacio Da Silva has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Da Silva has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Da Silva there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kokoshka swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Da Silva shoots in but Kokoshka avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Da Silva moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Da Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kokoshka moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A low kick from Da Silva is predictable there
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kokoshka connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Da Silva momentarily.
Da Silva takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Da Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kokoshka scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Kokoshka fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Da Silva checks it well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kokoshka scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Da Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kokoshka is fending him off so far but Da Silva persists. Nope, Kokoshka circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Oskar Kokoshka will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kokoshka throws a right and a left that Da Silva avoids nicely.
Kokoshka defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Da Silva.
Da Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Kokoshka tries to sprawl out of it but Da Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kokoshka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Da Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Kokoshka, looking for a takedown. Da Silva pushes Kokoshka against the cage but Kokoshka circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Oskar Kokoshka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ignacio Da Silva.

Kokoshka throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Da Silva seems to have recovered his senses.
Kokoshka throws a one two combo.
Kokoshka looks to land a combination but Da Silva avoids it well.
Kokoshka closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Da Silva takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Kokoshka lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Da Silva goes down and covers up as Kokoshka starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Oskar Kokoshka!
