Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jermaine Choake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mic Krilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Choake's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hans Zimmer - The Kraken. Krilla has chosen Antarctic Krill as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jermaine Choake has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jermaine Choake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mic Krilla!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choake fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Krilla avoids it really well and circles away.
Krilla feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Choake's calf.
Choake misses with a takedown
and Krilla counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Krilla stuffs the takedown attempt from Choake. Choake gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jermaine Choake. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters circling a little - Krilla finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Choake closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Krilla's guard.
Choake tries to free his leg and advance position but Krilla is retaining full guard.
Choake throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Krilla keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Choake tries to pass to full mount but Krilla defends it.
Krilla really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Choake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Choake takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Choake wants to lay and pray for a moment but Krilla keeps working.
Choake is pressing down on Krilla's thigh, looking to free his foot. Krilla is holding on for now.
Choake passes to side control.

Krilla takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Choake looks up at the clock and then as Krilla takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Choake smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Choake sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Krilla is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Krilla manages to work his way to half guard, despite Choake's best efforts.

Krilla is concentrating on defense, preventing Choake from advancing position.

Choake is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Choake takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Choake's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Choake throws a jab but it's blocked by Krilla.
Choake changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Krilla tries to avoid it but Choake manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Krilla to the ground. Krilla escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
