The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apina blocks a jab.
Apina uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Easterlund.
A punch combination from Easterlund misses.

Apina fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Easterlund sprawls well initially but Apina persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Easterlund is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Apina is looking to take a break and control but Easterlund is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Apina is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Easterlund doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Apina.

Apina slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Easterlund tries to get to full guard but Apina has control of the leg.
Easterlund knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Apina on the ground.
