Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Denis Opal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, John Barris!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Opal has taken the fight to the clinch.
Barris is trying to stall.
Barris tries for a takedown but Opal manages to get underhooks.

Opal gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Barris regains guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Opal looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Barris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Barris controls Opal momentarily but Opal frees himself.
Opal postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Barris has his foot on Opal's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Opal works his way back into a safe position though.

Barris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Opal's waist but Opal gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barris off to one side.

Opal tries to land a knee to the head but Barris blocks with his arms.
Barris wants to break free but Opal has control.

Opal's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Opal drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Opal jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Opal is pressing down on Barris's thigh, looking to free his foot. Barris is holding on for now.
Opal wants to take a breather but Barris is having none of it.

Barris tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Opal has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Opal wants to control the pace but Barris is squirming around nicely.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Denis Opal showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Opal has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
