Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ilkka Kanerva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kanerva comes to the cage accompanied by Sultans of Swing. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
23 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ilkka Kanerva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Palmer!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Reed Andrews and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer misses with a leg kick.
Kanerva connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Kanerva avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Palmer walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Tim Palmer has been cut.
Kanerva connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kanerva. That's going to slow Palmer down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kanerva is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Kanerva.
Kanerva lunges at Palmer with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Palmer's hand.
Ilkka Kanerva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kanerva ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Palmer looks gassed!
Kanerva bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Palmer crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kanerva - the referee stops the clock and Palmer gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kanerva. Palmer manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kanerva. Palmer shrugs it off though.
Kanerva lands a big head kick that sends Palmer tumbling to the mat! Kanerva takes a step backwards and waves Palmer back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Palmer is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Palmer walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Kanerva! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ilkka Kanerva!
Ilkka Kanerva gave a mention to Milwaukee's Best 160 in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
