Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norman Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mann has chosen Dead Memories as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mann throws the kick towards the body but Murphy avoids it.
Murphy connects with a right hand. Mann shakes it off.
Murphy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Murphy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mann quickly recovers to half guard.
Murphy prevents Mann from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mann keeping hold of Murphy's head, controlling as best he can.
Mann wants to control but Murphy is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Mann makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mann.
Mann wants to sweep here but Murphy controlling him for the moment.
Murphy slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mann has his foot on Murphy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Murphy works his way back into a safe position though.
Murphy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mann bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Murphy's guard.
Mann throws a big right hand that misses.
Mann loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Mann has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Mann thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mann drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mann jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Murphy wants to get back to his feet but Mann is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Mann bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Murphy's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mann wants to control from the top but Murphy keeps moving.
Mann stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murphy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mann passes into half guard.
Murphy wants to control but Mann is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Mann has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Murphy defend it? Mann steps over the head and cranks it - Murphy is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Mann!
