Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Veikko Velmu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kane Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Speed is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Jedi Mind Tricks / Heavy Metal Kings. Kane Speed will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velmu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Speed avoids it really well and circles away.

Speed tries to sprawl but Velmu drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Veikko Velmu overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee warns Speed that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Speed wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Velmu.
Speed can't escape the position.
Velmu lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Velmu has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Speed's face.

Speed is rocked!
Velmu loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Speed scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Velmu land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Velmu stands and salutes the crowd.
