Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kim Hendi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lamar Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Stevenson's choice of entrance music: XV ft. Pusha T- Awesome. Kim Hendi had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kim Hendi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lamar Stevenson!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stevenson's waist but Stevenson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hendi off to one side.
Stevenson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stevenson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Stevenson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hendi avoids it.

Stevenson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Stevenson tries to close the distance and clinch but Hendi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hendi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stevenson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hendi as he jumps to the side.

Stevenson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hendi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Hendi scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stevenson doesn't seem bothered though.

Stevenson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hendi paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hendi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lamar Stevenson dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Stevenson jumps into guard, dragging Hendi to the mat.
Hendi throws an elbow that misses. Stevenson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hendi's guard. Nice move by Stevenson!

Lamar Stevenson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hendi is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

I really don't envy Stevenson right now.
Hendi is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Kim Hendi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Despite being in a bad position, Stevenson is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts.

Well Stevenson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
