Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark Schulz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ellic McCrae!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Lou da Vinci and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schulz dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McCrae tries to score a power double leg takedown but Schulz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McCrae somewhat.
McCrae ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Schulz moves away.
McCrae jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McCrae changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schulz tries to avoid it but McCrae manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schulz to the ground. Schulz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Schulz drops McCrae with a beautiful combination! McCrae stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Schulz is looking for the KO!


It looks like Ellic McCrae has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McCrae shoots in looking for a takedown. Schulz tries to sprawl out of it but McCrae keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Schulz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mark Schulz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ellic McCrae.

Schulz shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. McCrae eats them both and turns towards Schulz to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

McCrae is trying to drag Schulz to the mat but Schulz just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Schulz throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on McCrae's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Schulz dives in looking to finish as McCrae flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Schulz's strikes! Schulz is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! McCrae's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but McCrae was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
