The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panloski buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

A head kick lands from Panloski that sends Patrick to the canvas. Patrick tries to scramble back to his feet but Panloski brings him back down into side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Patrick is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Patrick throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Patrick closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Patrick lands in his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Patrick has gone for a leg lock! Panloski slips out almost immediately though and dives into Patrick's guard.
Panloski will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Panloski has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Patrick's body.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Panloski is trying to stick to Patrick's back but Patrick is turning into Panloski. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Panloski's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Patrick.

Panloski lands with a left to the head.

Panloski creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Patrick changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Panloski fights it off and pushes away nicely.
