Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Laurens Van Der Sluijs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karakteri Praktika (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Der Sluijs comes to the cage accompanied by Shutterbugg - Big Boi Feat. Cutty. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Der Sluijs misses with a lunging right hand
and Praktika counters with an outside leg kick.
Van Der Sluijs fails with the takedown.
Praktika is looking to score with low kicks.

Praktika throws a low kick but it's checked well by Van Der Sluijs.
Van Der Sluijs blocks a leg kick.
Van Der Sluijs misses with an uppercut.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Van Der Sluijs checks a leg kick.
Van Der Sluijs misses the shot to the body.
Van Der Sluijs shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Praktika sprawls well. Praktika wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Van Der Sluijs gets slowly back to his feet.

Van Der Sluijs fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Praktika manages to avoid it.
Van Der Sluijs is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Praktika.
Van Der Sluijs shoots for a double leg takedown but Praktika sprawls well. He's pushed Van Der Sluijs's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Laurens Van Der Sluijs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Praktika tried to score with a low kick but Van Der Sluijs checks it.

Van Der Sluijs ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Praktika moves away.
Van Der Sluijs shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Praktika pinned against the cage. Praktika gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Van Der Sluijs looks to land a left hand but Praktika moved out of range nicely.

Praktika gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Van Der Sluijs to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Van Der Sluijs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Praktika swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Praktika wants to stand up but Van Der Sluijs is controlling him.
Van Der Sluijs might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Van Der Sluijs throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Praktika works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Van Der Sluijs's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Van Der Sluijs postures up in Praktika's guard and throws a big left but Praktika blocks it.
Van Der Sluijs stands and throws Praktika's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Van Der Sluijs is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Praktika is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Praktika can do anything to dispel that myth.

Van Der Sluijs is trying to get an arm triangle but Praktika is defending well.
Praktika really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Van Der Sluijs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Praktika reaches up around Van Der Sluijs's neck trying to control. But Van Der Sluijs takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Praktika! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Praktika is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Van Der Sluijs celebrates the victory with the fans!
