The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Donizete closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dave quickly recovers to half guard.
Dave wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are battling for position here. Dave manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Donizete would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Donizete gets to his feet. Dave looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Dave lands a glancing blow to the side of Donizete's head.
Dave tries for a takedown but Donizete sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dave throws a right hand that misses

and Donizete moves into the clinch.
Dave scores with a hook to the body.

Donizete on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Donizete wants a takedown but no success here.

Donizete's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dave tries to close the distance and clinch up but Donizete swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dave throws a series of strikes that have Donizete backpedaling.
Donizete misses with a head kick.
A jab from Dave does it's job there.
Dave throws a low kick but it's checked well by Donizete.
Donizete motions for Dave to come forward. Donizete throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Dave scores with a jab to the jaw.
Donizete tries for a takedown but Dave sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dave lands with a nice body punch.

Dave is looking to clinch but Donizete is avoiding it.
Dave connects with a body shot that sends Donizete's belly button to the back.
Nice jab there from Dave.

Oooooh!!! Dave has knocked Donizete down with a huge combo! Dave steps away and waves a wobbly Donizete back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Donizete is rocked!
Dave closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Donizete out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

In his post fight interview, Awesome Dave started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
