PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Riley Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maike Mitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morgan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Psychosocial by Slipknot. Mitch has chosen C'mon ! as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Maike Mitch!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan misses with a wild combination.
Riley Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Morgan does no damage.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Morgan.
No joy there for Mitch, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Morgan tries to score with a low kick but Mitch moves his leg out of the way.
An inside leg kick lands from Mitch.
Nice body kick there by Mitch.
Morgan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Morgan takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Riley Morgan has been cut.
Mitch feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Morgan's calf.

Morgan shoots in and bounces Mitch off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

You get the feeling that Mitch really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Mitch counters with a head kick.
Maike Mitch is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mitch closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Morgan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mitch counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Morgan is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Morgan postures up in Mitch's guard and throws a big left but Mitch blocks it.

Mitch pulls Morgan in close to prevent any damage.

Mitch has Morgan pulled in close to control his posture.

Mitch is working an open guard so Morgan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Well Morgan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
