Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Summers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Summers !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rock Lee!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lee has Summers up against the cage in a clinch.
Lee blocking some punches.
Lee crunches a lovely knee into Summers 's ribcage.
Summers tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lee just stands there and leans against the cage.

Lee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Summers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Lee is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Lee decides to stand and escape the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lee decides to stand up, so the ref orders Summers to his feet.

Lee shoots in and bounces Summers off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Lee postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Lee sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Lee is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Summers to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Summers shrugs it off.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Lee decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Summers is bucking up trying to escape but Lee cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Lee has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lee decides to stand back up. Lee steps back and let's Summers get back to his feet.

Lee throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Summers tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lee is in Summers 's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rock Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Lee shoots in for a takedown but Summers shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Lee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Let's hope that Lee has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rock Lee.

Well Lee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
