Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Rummer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denny Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chase is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Forever. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan Rummer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Denny Chase!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase misses with a lunging right hand
and Rummer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A jab lands there for Rummer.
Denny Chase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rummer throws a hook but Chase blocks it.
Chase slips a jab and a cross from Rummer.
Chase lands a slapping body shot.
Rummer takes a swing at Chase's ribcage but misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Chase misses the target.
Chase's corner calls for a 1-2. Chase obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Rummer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chase.
Chase swings for the body but Rummer moves out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Chase. That snapped Rummer's head back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A telegraphed right hand from Chase misses the target.
Chase missing with a left hand there. Rummer was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Chase misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rummer.
Chase keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rummer.

Chase changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Chase is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Chase connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rummer's hands.
Chase throws a jab but it's blocked by Rummer.
A big right from Rummer misses.
Chase moves out of range of the strikes.
Rummer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chase sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Chase lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chase gets caught flat footed, as Rummer shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Rummer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Chase's head.
Rummer scoring with punches to the head and body.
Rummer postures up and lands a big shot to Chase's brow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rummer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rummer postures up in Chase's guard and throws a big left but Chase blocks it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chase controls Rummer momentarily but Rummer frees himself.
Rummer distracts Chase with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Rummer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Chase's head.
Rummer is pushing down on Chase's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chase is fighting to maintain full guard but Rummer has managed to sneak the leg through.
Chase wants to get back to his feet.
Rummer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chase with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Rummer trying to control from Chase's half guard. Chase has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Chase has momentary wrist control but Rummer slips an elbow through the middle.
Chase looking to control.
Rummer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rummer passes into half guard.
Chase wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rummer not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Chase is looking for a sweep. Rummer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Chase has a hand on Rummer's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Rummer takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Rummer landing punches.
Rummer raining down hammerfists from mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rummer lands a big elbow - Chase is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Chase is forced to tap out!
