Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zodd tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Zodd tries to land a leg kick but Rice saw it coming and moves away.

and Rice counters with a three punch combo that has Zodd backing up. Zodd nods at Rice to acknowledge the strikes.
Rice misses with a double jab.
Rice lands a nice hook to Zodd's body. Zodd takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Zodd gets a takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Rice is staying active underneath Zodd, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Rice wants to improve his position but Zodd is controlling well.

Zodd wants to stand up but Rice has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Zodd wants to pass to mount but Rice is defending the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zodd decides to stand up.
Rice circles away from the clinch attempt
and Rice counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Rice throws a body punch but Zodd moves out of range.

Zodd closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rice to the mat! Rice manages to get full guard.
Rice is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rice looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Zodd passes into side control.

Rice is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Zodd off and has taken his back!

Rice is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Zodd knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Zodd for a finish.

Zodd is having to fend off submission attempts from Rice, who is looking to sink in the choke. Rice doesn't have the hooks in though and Zodd manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
Zodd is looking to stand up but Rice won't let him.

Zodd paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Rice - great work!
