Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jakob Larsen!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larsen fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hardy is out of range.

Hardy gets caught napping as Larsen dives in and scores a takedown. Hardy manages to retain guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Hardy trying to control the position.

Hardy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hardy throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Hardy wants to stand and escape but Larsen is having none of it.
Larsen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Larsen drops back looking for a leg! Hardy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hardy manages to kick Larsen off! Larsen jumps back into Hardy's guard.
Hardy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Larsen on the ground.

Larsen swings around for an armbar but Hardy sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Larsen's guard.

Hardy has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Larsen is proving hard to escape from.
Larsen has his hands on Hardy's head, controlling the position.

Larsen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hardy's guard.
Larsen wants to pass the guard but Hardy is keeping the position.

Hardy wants to get back to his feet but Larsen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hardy throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

It looks like Larsen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Larsen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hardy keeps working.

The fighters are battling for position here. Hardy manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Larsen cracks Hardy with a solid left hand.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Larsen cracks Hardy with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Larsen prevents Hardy from improving his position.
Larsen looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Hardy on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Larsen is looking for a kimura but Hardy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Larsen to get the leverage.

Larsen goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Hardy is on top in guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Larsen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hardy is one step ahead there.

Larsen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Larsen manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Larsen wants to control the pace but Hardy is squirming around nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Larsen prevents Hardy from getting the reversal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jakob Larsen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Larsen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hardy was well out of range. Poor timing from Larsen.

and Larsen counters with a head kick. That will keep Hardy thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Larsen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hardy at a distance.

Larsen drives through with a takedown into Hardy's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Larsen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Larsen is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hardy is looking to stand up but Larsen isn't so interested in that idea.

Larsen uses his free foot to push down on Hardy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hardy.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Larsen cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Larsen controlling the pace for now.

Larsen is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Larsen!
